First, not to be a dick but you bought the wrong year. 2006s have pretty rampant oil burning issues. Second, these cars see next to no gains with n/a mods period. A cai and exhaust with net you basically nothing other than more noise.

Third, these cars do not handle boost well at all. Unless you want to build the motor its not a great idea. 07-08 was alittle better.

Your best mod options would be suspension and rims and tires. A cai will make the car sound alot better for not alot of money so they're nice to have too. Some people say a plenum spacer helps too, but I've driven one with the mod done and didn't really notice anything.

Its a 2006. They only were the rev up DE and almost all have them have oil consumption issues lol.

Yeah I remember reading on the forums about how bad the oil consumption issues were. Which is probably why they are cheap as shit.

I got lucky with my 03 having no problems with oil but I wasn't about to mod it since, like you said, bolt ons hardly net any gains. Plus they kind of weigh a lot for how small they are : /

imma wait on the exhaust because the stock sounds perfect for me anyways
the rd cai (only rd because it drops to where cool air actually runs) is for better mpg, i doubt the 5hp will feel any different however it's a step from manufacturer.
I've also been looking at the motordyne plenum spacer, very cheap and easy to install and heard its amazing. just wondering if reliable :\

honestly, idc if theyre slow. a Z is sexy imo. Dual HKS exhaust a cai, and some sex rims. So what it isnt fast, I mean unless you "Race" who cares? But a Cai i feel helps with throttle response and makes it sound sooo much better, but anyways i wouldnt turbo it unless you build the motor, id do I/H/E. Wont see big gains, but the sound is Sex on a Z

There's tons of places that will rebuild the motor and tune it accordingly but, for now i think i'm fine. the turbocharge is defintaly for later. it has sexy nissan premium rims. like i said i'm not really worried about the exhaust sound right now, due to the fact i have 2 months left on probation O-o

So cai and the spacer is probably my next step.

Then possibly upgrade pump and injectors
