How much was it? We have a similar one here in Wallingford CT, shit is like 25 bucks for 8 minutes though....every now and then I'll do it, but the cost is outrageous.

The price was pretty much the same. Very pricey for the time you get but I had a blast. Its not something I would do every week just because of the cost but Im definitely wanting to do it again.

Im hoping to check out Atlanta Motorsports Park's track. It is supposed to be pretty sick from what I have heard.

How much does a ~15-20 HP cart cost?

Thats not too bad. Ive been thinking about a dirt bike once I get a truck/suv but those karts were pretty fun too.
Although I have tons of amazing trails around here, not really any tracks though

Oh I agree it's fun as shit with a couple of buddies. I definitely have to do it a few times a year, great fun and worth it in that respect, but at $25 bucks a pop I'd much rather make it a once-in-a-while treat.

I raced shifters competitively when I was a kid. I'm 6'4 now so its not really possible for me anymore.

Im only 5'10" or so and 135 lbs so it was perfect for me. I just wish it had been a bit more competitive. The first race I lapped literally every person on the track except my buddy at least one (I passed him but he hung on). The second race my buddy and I were pretty much the same distance apart the whole race but lapped everyone else. It was cool how big of a difference you could tell after the first half a lap in traction from the tires heating up. The very first race I about hit a wall on the first turn but once I figured everything out and the tires got some heat in them I was taking pretty clean lines.

Ya, im not quite up to that skill level yet but I definitely want to try something faster.
AMP does lots of kart racing and their track is to F1 specs. Ill probably plan a trip there sometime and try that out
