Toyota makes light work of everyone when it comes to reliability.
Scion, Toyota and Lexus are the top the rankings lately.
Just looking at Tacoma prices indicate that pretty well. They hold value like crazy

yeah, there was a 2001 Tacoma I was looking at with 60k miles on it

they wanted 12k lol

Thats one reason I stopped looking for tacomas. If Im going to spend that much I would rather spend a few thousand more for something I really want

Id buy a brz if they ever got it closer to 300HP N/A or turbo'd with plenty of room to mod.

So as a follow up:

bought the 04 civic for 10.7. got it with a 3 year/36k warranty (includes roadside assistance) and 6 oil changes at the dealer. detailed, extra tank of gas, all weather floor mats.

i overpaid, but generally really happy. tried to drive stick for the first time today and it was tough. going to go tomorrow and hopefully get it down better
