so with this if its hot out your car is white then when it rains it turns back to the origanly color?

i like the paint in the car better
ill google it to do some research

Wow you must know alot about me huh   :wallbash:

Its not white, it turns transparent. That reveals the base coat which could be anything, even designs. White base coat, black flames, red thermochromic paint would disappear in the heat to reveal the black on white. Or black base with red thermo flames that appear when its cold. Or white base red flames and red thermo top coat to reveal red on white flames when its hot. Combos are endless.

in the video the base coat is orange and the thermo is black. Black is invisible until you cool it down.

It depends. On that hatch a half gallon would probably do 2 coats pretty easy. That is including jambs and engine compartment. Buy a gallon in case you fuck up. Will need 1/2 as much clear as color and good primer. This stuff needs a very specific UV resistant clear.

Might want to do some reading first.
Poor UV performance from what I can see.

What exactly makes color changing paint tacky? Especially on a car, the things you could do with it design wise is endless.
