Yeah. I'm sure it is common in CA to see old vehicles on the road still in great condition, here most vehicles pre 1990 are a pile of rust. Hell even some 2000's I seen are rotted to hell.
To save some headaches I might come to the states to pick up a ZJ already built, I seen a few for 5-8k already on tons with 37's , lockers exo cages etc etc. I'd spend 5k on the tires wheels axles alone easy to build myself.
But then again I wouldn't be able to say I built it, an I'd miss out on the experience. But would save a ton of money and time. Then modify it to how I want from there.
You can get great deals down here on shit people already poured a bunch of money into...
If anything it might just be worth like a weekend trip to check out a few trucks and pick the best one then head back.
