straight gasoline will work very well.
Don't use thinners....You'd think that's obvious, but god damn the fixes I've had to do because "I was just wiping it down" acetone/lacquer thinner on the rag.....

This. Keep in mind any solvent will remove any wax it has. Goo gone and your finger is all you need. Indoors or in the shade is better.
