I just moved back to California and am on 91 only at the moment. e-85 is a bitch and a half to find as easily as it was in colorado

You need to read up on meth alittle more. Meth lowers running temperatures and decreases the chance of detonation. It is not a power adder, the reason you see people make more power with meth is meth allows you to make more power safely. You don't have to up the boost if you don't want to.

105ish octane and superior cooling properties... most of us GM guys can run so much timing we start losing power without detonating. It's at the pump for $3.25/gal. There really isn't a reason not to run it.
