i don't think the diameter of your exhaust tip has legal limit i had a 5 inch tip on my old Diesel

it depends on where you are. My Camaro came with 4" oval tips from the factory. I have a 6" tip on my Truck. I work with a guy that has a single 12" mitre cut stack coming up behind the cab of his truck.
