i would just get a 302 stoke n bore to 347 and wax a 350

That is a waste of machine work. It is all about the heads.


There is no reason not to build the 2 bolt if you are going mild. 4 bolt blocks aren't hard to come by if you are going more aggressive. It's cheap piece of mind. Our LSX stuff is 6 bolt and we still dowel pin the main caps if we plan on more than 850-900hp or 7800rpm.

I would say stick with a 355 and a nice set of heads use OEM crank and rods and get oversized stock quality pistons
It will rev just fine to w/e you need it for
you will make much more power than a 383 with stock heads
