the vette won't be that much more than a non-sports car IF YOU HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. This is my 6 month policy with progressive for both me and my girl. 2006 mazda 6 on the left, my 08 corvette on the right.

I'm 29, she's 25. We are homeowners and we live in NJ (so the rates are probably incredibly high compared to some other states, but it is what it is).

Just did a quote through Geicos website on a 2013 Wrangler.
I put it as a leisure vehicle and it ended up being just under 60 a month which is pretty reasonable.

If I can find a nice, clean one under $20k that might do it for me.

Pretty sure if you register it as leisure there's driving restrictions, so many km per year etc etc because the policy is cheaper because it isn't supposed to be a dd. Also how the fuck can you afford to keep and maintain a vette if you couldn't afford a couple hundred a month on insurance.

Call insurance brokers not companies.
Brokers will get quotes from all the major companies and get you the cheapest.
I was paying 280 a month until I called around to brokers, now 124 a month.

Its not really an issue of not being able to afford it, more of not wanting to be in a position to where I have to.
Trying to plan out my expenses so that I can afford what I want while still saving a good bit.

True, but I wouldnt be selling my Mustang so I could probably get away with it depending on how much I plan on driving it.
