not sure, prob 180ish
5"11

he doesnt have gear

he needs to get it before he rides it.

boots protect you from pegs and exhaust burns if it falls on you

chest and back protects you from handlebar if you go over them

long sleeve shirt and jeans keep the road rash away

gloves...i've been thankful for high quality gloves more than i have any other piece of gear. when your handlebar digs in with your hand still on it you will be fucking thanking the gods that you had on gloves.

optional things would be goggles since they're unnecessary unless he's going to a track. jersey and riding pants are good to get for track situations as well.

neck protector is probably the one that gets overlooked the most. i honestly don't see any real use for it unless he's racing since you can be more relaxed and not make really do anything too dangerous when you are just riding for fun.

Imma go on my quad and record him on gopro

Then again, I haven't ridin a 2 stroke before either, but I also learnt how to ride a dirtbike before i could even ride a bycicle.

I been riding a 4stroke for over 9 years now, and this will also be my first time riding a 2 stroke.

and are some DO's and DONT'S?

I know you can blow the engine quickly since its in the High RPM's.
Any guidlines to go offof?

2 strokes are generally designed to be raced. Meaning heavy on the gas, than off. Switchin gears. Holding it wide open ( or at high rpms ) for a long time - will lead to rear tire lockin up. ( And a rebuild ) An thats not fun, ill trll ya
Their snappy for a reason, to get up to speed quickly

Basically not a good idea to go from 1-5 wide open and cruise at 70mph. They dun like that

I started this year on a 2008 ktm 250xc and definitely launched the bike a few times. First time I got it ,dumped the clutch and way too much throttle and it went flying haha. After some $$ in plastics and practice I'm getting pretty good. I'm always wearing full gear.

Quick question,

We always ride at our cabin, so there is a small track and trails there and we go riding in fields.

Would i be able to ride this 2stroke fine in the fields and just on the back gravel roads if I watch my RPM's and shifting?

Absolutly

Know your limits, and know the bikes limits the best you can.

Don't hold it in the rpm band that it makes power in. A 2 stroke telegraphs when it is working hard with a sudden power spike. Keep the rpms high enough to keep the plug from fouling though.

I dont know much about dirt bikes at all but if its just the power your worried about who cares? Ive ridden a motorcycle once for all of 5 minutes and it was pretty easy to manage even when giving it a ton of gas. It was a ~600cc.
Just because it has power doesnt mean you dont have to use it all. I guess that goes with experience though.
