He asked if it was worth it and I said I'm fundamentally against modding the lesser performing version. That is how we ended up here.

So you are making the same power. The difference being when you spend money on any parts now you get much bigger gains. Dump 20k into both and see how vastly different they perform. I'd bet the stock 5.0 gets better fuel mileage than the procharged v6 negating the insurance difference.
