Hm so get a Camaro? Ya they are still fast even stock, Id only really wanna do headers back, intake and whatever is needed for a mild cam.
Would that add any hp really?

I was thinking about this as well, I mean I got a grand+ a month to spend on it, but thats the extra money after all the bills ya know, id like to save some of it.
Prolly best if I just did buy a new car, but I dont wanna spend 40k on a car.

I was wanting to jus buy an older car for around 10-16k with low miles (under 60k)

bro you can find a much newer car, with low miles for cheap nowadays.

you can get a nice muscle car if thats what you desire for cheap. get like a 2011 mustang gt with 30k miles for cheap

example: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-2011-Ford-Mustang-GT-t37191#listing=61307953

low miles, only 21k, hella of a car.

just do a little shopping around, you can find great bargins on them especially since the 2015s are coming out.

Dat depreciation yo.  It's a nonconcern for you since you didn't pay for yours.  C5 vettes and ls1 fbodies will be appreciating soon. C5 z's already are.

Op a fixed roof coupe or FRC C5 can be picked up for around 15k. That is the body the z06 is based on. Aside from the brake cooling ducts they are identical on the exterior.  The  ls1 makes 350hp as opposed to the 385-405hp in the z06. With full exhaust and a tune you can cover that gap.  On the street you won't notice much if any difference in handling or braking.

Hm thats an option as well, I could prolly mod what I wanna mod in the first year or so to.

Edit: long tube heades and a tune are worth 20whp. Ls6 intake is 10whp. A cam can be 30-100whp depending on how big you go with it. Lsx's respond to mods extremely well.

i made a fucking joke, did you not pick up on that moron?

Actually YES
I was looking at Ls2 Gto's I really fucking loves those cars, and whats nice is you don't see a lot of them around here.
My only issue was how damn heavy they are.
But 400 horses they should still be quick. :D

And the main reason Im wanting a new car is cause I want a fast v8, I own a (in my opinion) and SEXY ASS v6 camaro, I love that car to death, just wish it was faster. :P

I drove a v6 mustang(new ones) with a 6speed it was pretty damn quick I was really surprised
I would guess high 13s with some basic mods like tune/full exhaust

Edit after looking up what they run damn
They run 13.9s stock at over 100mph trap
that is insane for 21,000$ brand new

LS2 gtos run 13.8s~ my friend ran constant 14.0X in his untill the very end of the night he made a 13.99 pass
His traps were 99-101 mph(LS2 auto 90k~ miles)

i rather be seen in a pretty much brand new car than a 15 year old camaro, regardless if it will beat it.

idky youre so butthurt over mustangs, but do cry more please. people can afford to buy newer things, not have to pick from the bargin lot.

Im not set on beating something though, (stang vs camaro) I mean it would really only come down to a car maybe on the street lol.
Something 5.5 secs or less 0-60 id be happy im sure.

Im a Chevy / Camaro person, but thats only because thats what ive drove, I like the new mustangs.

Id rather have a real nice old car though then a new one prolly. Im weird like that :P

yeah, there are good deals everywhere bro, just gotta look. ignore fmx, idk why he has a fixation with older cars, newer is better, less problems, less miles, more benefits in general.

unless your primary concern is just speed speed speed, you can listen to the moron and go buy a 97 camaro, dump 5k into it and be speed racer all you want!

well if thats your preference thats all good then.

the 2011+ stangs run a 4.5 0-60, and weigh less than the newer camaros, so theyre a tad quicker.

but if you like the old camaro idea than go for it bro.
