I put the TL-S sway bar in my TSX. upgraded to MOOG endlinks while I was at it.

Yeah I thought about it again and I am going with the TL-S front/rear sway bars...Pretty damn good price too from HFP.

Aren't sway bars essential for turning? Even if it is for offroad use..

No. It ties the corners of the car together to keep it from twisting and rolling. If you want weight transfer or maximum suspension articulation they are a hindrance.
