so getting truck fixed after sitting for a while.
battery was completely dead and i tried to jump it to no avail. the starter would click but i guess it just never got enough juice to turn on.
anyways is there any chance i fried the starter  doing this? not car savvy and its what im being told by the mechanic along with "other electrical parts"
on a 92 f150. never heard of jumping a car frying a starter -_-

ive jumped it a few times within the past 6 months to randomly haul things and it fired up after just a couple mins.

Low current rarely fries a starter, but what can usually happen is your bendix gear will get stuck in the start position. You can usually smack the side of the starter and jar it loose.

Take the battery out and bring it to an autozone. They test and charge for free.

you probably have a short in your wireing, my monte did this for a while until i rewired the starter, move the wire around that goes to your starter and try again, if not then your battery probably done for (generally not the case)
