Looking for a new toy, something nice and fun. Just not sure whats most reliable/fast/nice/comfy etc. any input is welcome. Thanks!

Street legal bike by the way,

sportsbike?
touring?
dual sport/supermoto?
cruiser?

if you want comfy, then sportsbike is out of the question lol.

I enjoyed my klr650 even though it was a dog for a 650.  The fuel mileage was great though. I got 45-50mpg out of it.

that's average mpg for most bikes

Yeh, the klr 650s aren't particularly impressive outside of their durability. Fuckers are pretty solid.

Not sportbikes. Riding like a grandpa you might get 40 out of a 600. 1400's and busas are in the 20's. I got 35mpg pretty consistently on a Boulevard M50 I borrowed one summer.

slower stuff like ninja 650rs or 500's will obviously be better than a gsxr 600/r6/zx6/600rr.

They actually have some stupid shit that will leave you stranded. The rotating assembly and transmission are bulletproof though.

My GSXR 600 got 42-45 avg (normal riding.. not slow but not balls to the walls)

My Xb12 gets 46 avg (same riding style)

I second this, if you can find you a clean 750, they are super reliable, the engine is almost bullet proof, they're shaft driven and liquid cool, and great value for money. I rode my buddies a few months ago and it was plenty comfy for me at 6'2".
