a parts store will scan obd 2 codes for free

id say that would be a good bet

I run obo 2 myself, they said they do a more "thorough inspection" they are full of shit, and i've already reported them to BBB, about me already knowing what they told me. there's no obo 2 codes and the car inspection is fine.

Someone suggested fuel dampers i'll check that when i get a stethoscope, like i said on the other post i hear it louder from underneath the car, near flex pipe / oil pan, the exhaust is a bit rusty, but it doesn't sound like an exhaust rattle, yes i know the difference, worked with cars allot.

visual inspect from infront, both side, underneeth, tail pipe. removing shrouds, and tires so you can get in there better.

best i got. if you dont want to spend the $300 at nissan and just drive it till something finally goes & like said in above posts, if its a bearing and you let it go till it snaps & causes more dmg than your out a car...

I've checked serpentine belt nothing on it, the belt is glazed a bit, its medium wear, i'll upload the video of the noise when youtube finishes processing it. don't know how long that takes...

as for bearing, wouldn't the noise get louder as RPM increases?

not always, could at higher RPM align itself properly and not chatter

/ you did try this right? i see a few videos and a shitload of threads right off the bat with these cars.

Might have to rip apart the engine and look at clearances, i'll also check with the stethoscope and see if i hear it coming from the engine.
