If you're looking for comfort get a CBR.
If you're looking for speed get an R6
If you're looking for more speed with some comfort, get a GSXR
If you're looking for more comfort with speed, get a ninja.

Thats my opinion, please note, everyone of those bikes will still go fast as fuck. R1 and GSXR being more track based and Ninja and CBR being more Street based. Again, thats in my opinion. I haven't rode any of the late models other then a new r6 which was very impressive minus my sore back and asshole.

Mines almost the opposite.. I like R6/CBR/GSXR/Ninja in order for 600 (599) cc. Their positions are different for 1000.

For a beginer would you suggest the Ninja?

Beginner? Ninja/CBR 250

I never recommend 600 bikes for beginners without some sort of previous motorcycle experience. Every one of those bikes will do 90+ MPH in second gear.

As I said before, each bike has its own strong and weak points and completely depends how YOU, the rider, plans to ride.

I have an R6 because the Daytona Speedway has track days a few times a year and I enjoy going. Georgia Mountains arent far, and a weekend trip is quite common.

Their seats are plastic, first thing you upgrade is the seat for one with gel. Helps a lot - also, you seem to be over 6 foot tall. I'm 5'7 and the R6 feels like it was built around me, lol.

Well my dad being a farmer was pretty firm on the "if it isn't broke, dont fix it, and if it does break, fix it stronger."

That being said, i'm pretty hard on shit ;)

I wish Harleys were more lenient for small people. I've been riding a Hydraglide and it's truly a pain in the ass to stop with it. Holding up half a ton on one foot at a light looks retarded as hell, lol.

Yamaha R6 - It is a full-bred TRACK bike. It has no comforts and will get you from A to B as fast as you want to get there. It leans flawlessly and is throttle always wants to give you more. I own one and have put upgrading to an R1 off because this bike still manages to excite me, especially if you take it to a track day / mountain run.

This, I originally wanted an R6 because of the performance but it was very, very uncomfortable to try and ride daily.

You'll get tired of a 250 in a week...You can start with a 600 if you're not a complete and utter moron. I did the same shit and got a 250 Ninja when I first started riding, it's seriously an awesome beater/commuter bike, but it seriously has no fucking power at all and is slow as shit. Granted it's fast enough, but it just has no "oomph", a 600 is the perfect street bike and can be learned on if you have any sense of self-control. A 1000 is just ludicrous for any situation on the street, people with bikes like that are just trying to compensate/look cool.
