Some day you'll learn koj... some day :)

6 speed, 8 is for the half tons.

Not fast, in fact I'll be honest and the fastest thing on the truck is the fuel gauge dropping. But I didn't buy it for speed, or fuel economy, or to be fast.

lol no chance, thats like saying some day ill like a snaggle tooth

aint gunna happen :D

Hard to find them, but the 1500s come with an 8 speed option.

I don't buy brand new... I'll let someone else take that hit off the showroom floor. This one had 14,000 on it.

What in the world... I'm away for a few months and you buy a gas 3/4 ton mega? That's the worst possible combination. The 02 8.1L Chevrolet I had got about the same mileage but it made about 100lb/ft more torque. I expect more from the resident diesel guy.

I'm getting 21mpg in my mega now, still on the stock tune. 80/20 hwy-city. 50/50 is 18.5/19ish.

The main purpose of the truck is to have something comfortable to cruise around in when we go camping, fishing, and boating. I don't really see the need in spending 50-60k for a mega cab diesel just to tug a few friends and the boat / camper around.

Not to mention, i'd feel like shit if i lifted a diesel truck ;) 8" BDS, 22x12's and 37x13.5r22's anyone? ;)

Edit -- whenever you are ready, drive that damn thing up here for some Spicy EFI Live Tuna (Edge's new release is supposed to be here shortly for the on the fly tunes with the CTS Monitor)

You don't need to, but you could have bought a half ton for that duty haha. I'm with you on the 6.7 guy. He is probably looking at his overhead lieometer. Hell mine is reading 26.9mpg right now. It's off 25% on the nose.

What are you looking at? About 7mpg after you lift it? Christ almighty. I'm waiting on the cts on the fly deal. I'm all talk though. I don't really want to sink the $3k into this thing for tuning, gauges, a lift pump, and a clutch.
