Favorite hobbies other than cars/driving: Sailing, board sports, building things, and teaching myself new skills.
A little bit about yourself: I've always lived on the water, and learned to swim before I successfully took my first steps. As of this summer, I've been teaching sailing for 10 years. My first home was a lighthouse. I lived pretty far away from basically anyone my age, so I was forced to entertain myself. I soon found that I was able to learn, and teach myself, most things quickly, and took it upon myself to teach myself various useful skills, that I found interesting; from small engine, to cars, to construction, eventually leading to architectural design and CAD.... This continues to this day. I take pride in doing things alone that most people wouldn't think possible. I love being self reliant.
EDIT: and in the fall I am attending school in Rhode Island to learn how to utilize and understand composite materials, like carbon fiber, which I intend on assimilating into my automotive restoration repertoire. I'm excited.
Plans automobile wise in the next 5 years: Finish a couple of my Datsuns, then move on to old school English motorcycles. Hopefully looking to bob out a '65 BSA Lightning. And maybe restore an old Euro car next....Who knows?
