I would agree with the mazda6 comments. I have a 2006 6s that I bought in 07 with 13k miles on it. I drove it up until a few months ago when I got my vette, my girl has been using it as "her car now". Got around 60k miles on it never had a single problem, just routine maintenance is all it needs. I would defintely get the v6 though, I drove one of the 4 cyls and it felt like it wasn't enough motor for the car.

I can't comment on the rebuilt part of it, but it is a very comfortable car for trips in my opinion. Not alot of road noise, and decent rooom, and if you get a hatchback like mine, you got cargo room for days and it rides really smooth
