Yeah was using a 16 swapped to a 12

why even have a push button start if you have to have the keys inside.... doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?

My push button works off the bluetooth in my keyfob. (must be within range of course)
Walk up to car, touch handle it unlocks, sit inside, push button and GTFO.

your car is new and his bike his a few years old, with a malfunctionning solenoid.

Its only purpose is to bypass the solenoid. Lots of custom bikes have them in case of solenoid failure

I wasn't comparing them, I was asking a question.
I was asking what the purpose of a push button start is, if you have to have the key in the ignition anyhow.

Gotcha

its no different than most atvs. you put the key in and turn to the ON position. you push the starter button until its running and then release the button. if the key wasnt required all it would take is something wedging against it to make it start which could turn out bad.
