lol probably not, luckily though its not to much work and it will be a good lesson. just make sure when you sand it you do a X motion to make sure its flat. and use a block

block hand sander with wet paper?


Do I leave the bumper on?

ya, use a block and wet sand it first with something close to 1000 grit. put some body filer in it. then sand it with a block and some paper. you probably wont need to wet sand that part but it couldnt hurt to keep the dust down and you wont mess up any other paint incase you use a long stroke. you can leave the bumper on for this also. it would probably be harder trying to sand it on the ground with it moving lol. might scratch up something else

The one issue I see with this job is the fact that you have a metallic paint.

That makes spraying and matching a bit more difficult. But not overly so..


Mottling, also known as, "tiger stripes" happens very easy if the top coat is not applied correctly.
