thanks for posting, always nice to hear positive feedback to plasti dip. I ordered 2x black and 1x purple blaze couple days ago, should get them around next month

I did 6 coats of it, especially because it is easier to peel off if you change your mind. It also lasts a lot longer too.

thanks for this information :) Can u tell me also, how many cans did u need to use for applying 6 coats on each wheel ? 1:1 wheel ratio ?

Used a little less than 3 cans with 17 inch rims. Do it on a nice day and let each coat dry 15 minutes in between. The best way to control the spray also is using index cards. Line them up around the rim, almost as if it is a dog who has the cone around his head.


I am assuming you know how to spray evenly? Because hat is a big part of it also.

If you have emblems, especially chrome, pop them out and leave them chrome, it is always better than a color you could paint them. Same idea goes with the lug nuts.
