Miata's arn't bad at all. I actually really like them. I had a buddy of mine win 1st in our local Auto Cross with one.. He said he hardly did any motor work, just exaust, different intake. And then he lowere'd the car.

But anyways,
it all depends on what you want, are you looking for Front wheel drive? Rear wheel? AWD? And do you care if American, Japanese, German? I'm actually really good at finding the right car for people, so if serious hit me up in a pm or something and I can find you great deals

I've never driven one but there was a 7 page thread over on corvette forum. If you ignore all the "chick car" posts theres some good responses from alot of people who driven them. Hope this helps some

We have a miata.
Its super fun to drive at times, but the lack of power makes it boring at the same time.
Ours has been fairly reliable and I drove it a while back while I was replacing the alternator in my car and got several good comments on it.
Id buy one. Fun, cheap, not bad looking, and potential for LS1 swap!

Yeah i'd go with a miata. Don't care at all about the rest lol (rwd tho)

You shouldn't expect complements driving a miata lol. Most of the guys I know driving them get made fun of more than anything.
