You'll almost definitely get your wish on that one....I can't really see anyone purchasing a Tesla Roadster S for performance...just tree-huggers.

Electric cars are great, no synthetic oil or any oil period money in your pocket. Literally no maintenance = money in your pocket. They will soon be history again because major oil companies see no money when you purchase them. Buy one, live happy and enjoy your super quiet car. just dont hit any blind people or kids that dont hear you coming.

there aren't many electric cars that are comparable in price range and performance. the higher performing electric cars last 1/4 to maybe 1/2 the range of the lower model, less performing options.

I did about 500mpg in a chevy volt just because the commute to the trainstation and/or work was within the range before the gas motor kicked in. my electricity bill went up about $40/ month which was nothing compared to the price that I would probably have to fill up a tank of gas every 2/3 weeks in a normal sedan. had it for about 18 months before it was sold.

as for hidden costs, same maintenance as for any normal car on top of a battery replacement probably after 7-9 years depending on how much you drive/charge. You can find most of this information online which I did prior to buying.

Hope this helps

...HA! That was actually a scene in the show Weeds; dealer wanted to buy a bunch of EVs for him and his crew to do drive-bys.
