god damn im confused

A friend of mine works with VW and hes the one that said its probably the waterpump.. he also said waterpumps could be tricky

But someone else that works with cars told me that it might be the thermostat... or a pipe idk i forgot what he said
(they both checked it out)

this is what happened.. while i was driving i started to smell the car over heating, then the overheating light came on and the Temp Gage stayed half way..
i pulled over and popped the hood, i looked under the car and noticed all my coolant was pouring out the bottom..
i went to get a gallon of water to pour it in so i could drive it back home but it was leaking faster then i was pouring it in lmao

any thoughts?

where was the coolant coming from?

Usually when a water pump goes there's just a steady stream of coolant coming from the weep hole on the bottom, if not just a few drops. It sounds like either your radiator has failed or more likely one of your coolant lines has ruptured. Honestly it's something you're gonna have to get out there and look for. Get under the car and see where the water is leaking.

a pump failing making a loud sqeeling sound and constant steam, in your case a massive leak is either a hose popped ( i went though 2 rad hoses ), radiator failed, block heater ( in my case mine poped out of the block)

pour more water in and go under the car and look squeeze the rad hoses and see if you see it dripping, worst case turn the car on for a few mins at a time to help diagnose the issue
