what would you define a " real tune " as?

has anyone out there tried " Pulstar performance series" spark plugs ?

real tune as in get a proper engine management system, then get a proper fuel map.

Don't bother with gimmicky spark plugs, they don't do anything. They just lower the resistance in the plugs and it starts causing a whole lot of problems afterwards.

they work are not worth it tho

IF those are the ones with the capacitors inside the spark plugs DO NOT get them when they fail they will shoot the stored electricity back threw the system and fuck shit up happened to a friends who bought those

http://www.trifectaperformance.com/

im actually a dealer threw trifecta

but companies like them are what im referring to when i say a tune because its not just some canned crap they put on all the vehicles the tune is customized to how the engine is reacting

How would I go about finding those for my truck?

Put an Unichip in Fiat Punto JTD 2002, power went from 80 -> 100 hp, torque 200 -> 255 Nm, fuel consumption from 7.5 l / 100km -> 5.5l / 100km. It's not much in numbers, but it let's say "fine tunes" your engine based on it's components, fuel you use etc. as all stock software is "safe tuned". But not worth 600$ + mapping, get an used one for 100$.

no im not a 15 year old emo kid, i drive a 2006 toyota tundra 4 door with the iforce v8

What's wrong with the power it makes now? You want it to go faster? Should have bought a car or the right truck to turn in to a race truck. Want more MPGs? Shouldn't have bought a truck to begin with.

its already a pretty fast truck and gets decent mileage considering the tires and rims that i have on it

but i have a little extra money atm and id like to max out my trucks potential

trying to figure out what to do next that would increase horsepower and performance

this is everything ive done to the outside and under the hood of my truck so far ( and yes i know the rims and tires take alot away from the truck )

Borla dual exhaust
K&N 77 Series Cool air intake
Jet mass air flow sensor
2 1/2 " Levelin Kit
33" Toyo M/T Open Country tires
22" Fuel Hostage rims
Xenon HID 6000 Headlights
Aries Bullbar

No chip is worth the money. For that kinda shit, you can buy a programmed tuner off the web a helluva lot cheaper and get about the same thing. Especially considering your mods. In your case, the CAI, exhaust, and MAFS are the only moderately important variables to the tune.

If you had done some kind of serious engine modifications, you'd want to take it to a professional(or you'd be one).

it all depends on the manufacturer. All I can say is research and see what people say for your car... you don't wanna be that guy who buys the chip solely for the numbers only to blow your engine a few months down the road, only to be completely fucked when you go to the dealer and they laugh in your face

also tunes > chips
