If it were my car I would do heads, cam, rockers, springs, intake, longtubes, and a tune and call it a day. Would still be very stable, and you would definitely notice a difference.

You'd honestly feel the most bang for your buck doing something like.

Keep it N/A

mild street cams

4:11 rear

NICE set of struts and lowering springs

Then MAYBE think Nitrous, but you won't get much enjoyment out of this on a daily basis, unless you want to spend 40 dollars to fill a bottle every day.

So that's why I say your daily driven butt dyno will probably have a lot of fun with bigger rear gears and some cam/head work.

If you REALLY want to think about forced induction, you MUST plan it out. And it will be costly.

do this if money isnt an option, idk why but i thought u said you had 2k to spend on the mods  if you got the scratch do the heads and cam swap

if it has 3.73's in it those would work fine also and save you some scratch. get some longtube headers imo

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

These are almost as bad as the 99-04 to put in longtubes...

Here's a taste of what it's going to be:

Jack car up and support on stands/ramps (loosen lug nuts on front rims first)
Remove front rims
Disconnect the battery
Remove rotors
Remove tie-rods from spindles
Remove sway bar end links
Remove struts from spindles
Remove ABS sensor from spindle
Remove Springs
Remove steering shaft
Remove steering rack
Remove rear g-load brace from K-member
Support the engine
Remove motor mount nuts
Remove K-member
Remove motor mounts
Remove X-pipe/H-pipe portion of exhaust system
Remove exhaust manifolds
Remove oil dipstick tube on driver's side
Install new gaskets
Install headers
Install oil dipstick tube
Install motor mounts
Connect O2 Harness extensions
Install K-member
Install motor mount bolts
Install steering rack
Reattach steering shaft
Install G-load brace on K-member
Install Springs
Reattach ABS wiring harnesses
Reattach Struts to spindles
Reattach sway bar end links
Reattach tie-rod ends
Attach Calipers
Install new H-pipe to headers and cat-back
Attach rear O2 harness
Reconnect battery
Lower the car
Go for a test drive

Doesn't matter, had sex(y exhaust note)

Seriously though, DON'T skimp on the suspension work if you're looking to build a dd you can have fun in. I stress this on any pre-04 (or really 06) Mustang. And I'd go n/a, supercharged, or twin turbo. Spraying a dd is a waste of money and can leave you in a bad situation. Remember, you don't actually have to be running the spray at the exact moment the motor blows for it to be the nitrous that caused it. Don't get screwed on the way to work.

Pi head swap, cams, shorty headers, and a tune. + im gona have them install my new clutch (ford racing) and possibly a new driveshaft cause i put a BEATING on mine + its unbalanced. lmao

But tell me this.. someone who does work like this, whats a good price for this work to be done at a shop ?

as a fellow mustang owner, if youre seeking to hit 300 hp, just buy a new model, simple as that.

for the price of all the work youre gonna do to it to achieve your desired hp, you could of spent that money on buying a better builder stang.

Well the steps involved are all pretty elaborate unfortunately, so you'll end up paying a lot of time in labor.

I forsee at least a couple hours on the head swap/timing chain/cam setup

and at least 4 hours for the clutch job. Dropping the trans, reconditioning the flywheel etc.

You're looking at a couple thousand dollars pretty quick. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a 2200-2500 dollar job before all is said and done.

weigh your options.

I've been thinking of different things..
Supercharge it or w/e procharger/turbo/twinturbo
Or just build the motor, but i want to get the most bang for my buck & the least work possible cause this is my daily so i can't have it in my garage for months.
e/ , and ive heard these motors are a bitch to take out so idk what i should do .
Ohya & it has a 4.6 w/ a iron block , strong motor. & its got a t45 tranny.

Man those 4.6's are a bitch and a half to do anything with while its still in the car. They leave you zero room in there to do ANYTHING.

Dont go with the ford racing clutch if you plan on modding it at all. At least go with a lower end spec or something.

Go Mcleod or Monster if you never want to worry about it again.
