Most people run it for the discreteness it provides. Stock sound when it's closed, open dump when it's open.
I had an A'pexi ECV before, cable actuated, never had a problem

great for turbo'd cars. Been thinking about buying one with my stock exhaust, but i keep hearing stories of how they eventually fail and stay wide open
