the way the valves are actuated is a lot like the higher-end paintball guns, i have a proto DM6 and the bolt is actuated open and closed by air pressure, and can be actuated (to fire a .68 paintball) easily 40-50 times a second, the concept is the same, the speeds are just much, much faster

no more dropped valves? or clearance adjustments? if so....im in!

also thought lets say i wanna change my profile....do i need to get a new head or what.

right now i can go have a cam grinded to what i want/need. how is that going to incorporate with this without breaking the bank.

broo... only if you have a saab you can get it done atm ahahahahahaah :p but on a real note this will help achieve closer to 100% combustion efficiency

if this works correctly you will gain more power and fuel efficiency by at least 20-30% each, but it will cost A LOT tuning would be on a whole new scale because you can hold a valve open for as long as possible and it would not have be a fixed variable like it is currently with a camshaft

I could see these being very beneficial in the diesel world. With suck a fast opening and closing valve you could stuff much much more air into the cylinder with much less effort.

and you know what that means :) MOAR FUEL!

Didn't bmw make the first cam-less engine a long time ago? This idea is not new but I'm glad someone is finally taking advantage of it.
