I'm not going to take this bait

When Mazda makes a car that gets 50 MPG, lmk

Thanks everyone for your opinions

While having my eye on a new model in White..

I found a deal I couldn't refuse over in Minnesota

It was a 2012 Golf TDI (6 Sp. 4 Door) - with the Tech Package, Silver in color, with 20,000 miles

It also came with the manufacturers 3/36 and an additional extended warranty of 2/24, so in total 5 years, 60,000 miles

The Tech Package is extremely optioned out, I had no idea. MSRP of a 2013 is ~30,000

The package includes - moon roof, metal trim on pedals, nav., multimedia slot, dynaudio premium audio package, push to start, bluetooth, and xenon headlights with the LED DRL's (similar to an Audi), also comes with nicer wheels

Overall it was a pretty good deal I feel. I will be flying up, and the drive back will be roughly 1,200 miles

I did the math, and at 43 MPG, with a Diesel price of $3.75 (It's like $3.60 here), it should cost a little less than a bill

I can get used to this..

Congrats on the Golf bud. I'd have preferred the Jetta, but those Golfs do handle spectacularly well.

Thanks, if I would have gone new model I would have gone with the Jetta

This came up and I just couldn't pass it up. It's got more options than you need and then some
