did you even read my post's? if you don't have a volt meter or need help on how to use it just say so.
the reason it only works when you put both your red and yellow together is because you only get current from your ''switch on'' witch is either yellow or red it changes from model/make to an other. the radio will turn on but all settings will be lost as soon as you turn it of because both your ''hot'' and ''switch on'' wires on the radio will be powered by the ''Switch on'' wire of your trucks harness.
you need to find out why your hot wire has no power. or just simply pass a new one if you cant find out... chec for burnt fuses im telling you
btw the red wire on your truck harness does not automatically equal the red wire on the radio harness, constant 12v and switch on 12v can either be yellow or red depends on model/make like i said
Yes, I've checked with volt meter. I get hot wire from red and yellow. But when I do connect yellow to yellow and red to red, still nothing.
And fuses are all fine. No burnt.
Let's see.
1998 K1500, I've read online wiring diagram. Here it is.

Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Radio Ground Wire: Black
Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue
Okay, so I put Pioneer DEH-1300MP in.
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-1300MPThe Pioneer doesn't have an Orange wire. So, I assume it's red. Tried red/orange. Nothing. Red/Red, Nothing. Yellow/Yellow, works but something is wrong with Red. Works only with Red/Yellow. I checked with a volt meter and it's hot. All wires are hot.
Bought Harness from crutchfield
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701858/Receiver-Wire-Harness.html?tp=2977Still, nothing works. I check with volt meter from harness. It's hot.
Edited:
I don't know if this matters but I had this in the truck
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-1400Had that radio in when I got the truck couple months ago. I decide to switch out radios and now it doesn't work. It was working fine with the old radio in. I tried putting back the old radio and now it doesn't work either.
