just makes it way faster to screw things on/off without having to yank an air line or power cord around.

but you have to go through the hassle of manually breaking the lugs loose. plus when you tighten them you are going to have to manually tighten them again. if thats what floats your boat then by all means go for it but it just doesnt make sense to me. i want an impact to break them loose and take them off. if he was planning on using it at a track or something like that then yeah it would be handier but in our garage theres a couple power cords always plugged in and waiting to be used if need be.

you are completely right. unfortunatly the op is working with his 100$ budget so he wont be buying a 3.0 amp/hour impact gun for sure.

he should save up then and get something worth the money. he might as well use a 4 way tool and spin it really fast once he breaks them loose.

I agree.

I still don't have a battery powered impact, mainly because I don't have the spare cash to throw at a Snap On or a Blue Point, as those are the ONLY two air impacts (battery powered) that were worth their grains of salt.

I agree that if you don't have enough money for a nice impact, just invest in a corded Milwaukee, that's what I use, if I don't have access to air.

Plus, you have much bigger things on your plate if you don't have access to air :P

I got a Milwaukee that is pretty beast. $129 bucks / 850 in-lb torque. Small and lightweight.

Indeed!

luckily I always work in my hermetically sealed oxygen suit.

Way better doing engine work in a room with zero atmosphere.

O2 tanks get expensive though ;)

we rarely use air anyway. mainly for the 1/2 impact for wheels and to air up tires or use the blowgun tip. everything else we just get out the old ratchet and breaker bar lol. although an air cut off tool would be nice at times.
