See with the f150's you have to compromise cabin space or bed space and I don't really want to do that. =/

And why is that exactly?

Ford offers the same crew cab, ext cab, long bed, short bed, etc. options that anyone else does. Im with Gixxer on the fact that they are all fairly similar and it really comes down to small details and what you like at the end of the day.

Barely..get a full size full bed f150..youll get better gas mileage. You dont need a f250 for towing baby shit.. you dont even NEED that big of a truck..

We have a 08 f250 full size for work..gas engine..the thing is a fucking turd on gas.

i got a 2010 f150 raptor with the 5.4 i pull boats atvs snomobiles campers etc even pulled a few trucks with it. just got a 350 with a 7.3 to haul all my big stuff with. the 250 your looking at would be a good choice for what u want and is more than capable of your hauling needs. my f350 is a crew cab with a long box with a 6 inch lift its a big truck with alot of room!

Ford long bed . Or dodge crew cab long bed . Or dodge megacab.

I got a crew cab 1/2 ton dodge which is nice but the bed is short. I want a 5.9l megacab diesel, but can't really justify it with the diesel price right now

The mega cab's bed is actually shorter then the crew cab or quad cab version of the "short bed".

Depending on the year you are looking to buy is going to dramatically change which of the big 3 you go with. (toyota and other offshore models will work for your application too but idk jack shit about them. USA FAN BOY MURICA!)

08+ GMC / Chevy with a 5.3L will be a great truck for you. The bed is not very long on these however. i couldn't get my atv's in it and close the tailgate. not a huge deal but if you will be pulling a trailer and have a rig in the bed it sucks eggs.

You could pick up a 06-08 quad cab / long box dodge with a hemi for pretty cheap right now. Great truck with a decent transmission considering its dodge. A reg cab / long box 6speed manual hemi would run you slightly less then the quad cab and would be a much much better setup in the long run. But if cab room is an issue, thats not much help either.

I'm not a fan of ford's older trucks. the newer trucks they have out are acutally pretty decent. haven't been around the gas jobs at all but the new 6.7L is doing well. that might be a bit out of budget for you though.

If you decide to go with a diesel, I can help get you in the right direction. I'm a cummins fanboy but i can be honest when it comes to duramax and powerstrokes.

Well I've been hunting and have some what narrowed down to 3 choices. The f250 which I test drove and brought home today. It's nice, and is basically perfect, but the mpg is pretty bad. Not that I wasn't expecting bad, it's just, idk. Lol. Anyways he are my choices

The 250 although I like a lot, the 5.4 does seem a bit underpowered for a 6000 pound truck. And for price.. They were willing to go down to 26,100 or something close to that.
The other two.. Well I didn't want a smaller cabin, but I think I can live with it. Anyways, let me know what you guys think.

I'd say the second ford would be the better buy for myself.... But that F250 looks like a freakin beast lol.... If you can talk them down on the price a bit I'd jump on it dude. Let them know you found the other one for 8 grand less, two years newer.
