i had a 4.9 inline 6 with 430k on it. i got it from a relative out west as a farm truck, they would pop it in first and run a bungie strap from the shifter to the steering wheel so it would idle in a really big circle while they would jump in the bed and shovel out the feed for the cattle. i got it at like 380k and it already had a different trans put in, i put 50k or so on it and lost 1st and 2nd gear one day and drove it startin in 3rd for a while. a month later i bought my raptor and traded the truck to a friend for a qaud. he then sold the truck to another guy who has put a new trans in and now uses as an offroad rig on a regular basis. so i still see it here and there. goes to show how far a lil maintanaince goes a long way
