I've also read they havent used forged pistons in the wrx since 2006 and since 2007 they sometimes crack. Also they switched from lead bearings to silver and they sometimes fail.

it's all how the owner treats their cars. Yea sure there are lemons, and Subaru of america is fucking dumb. But there are plenty of subarus without problems, mine for example 168,xxx miles no problems and i autox/dd the hell out of it. Friends 09 WRX has like 40k miles no problems either. Just depends on the owner/maint
