Today's work

Grinded out the old ones, sanded and painted it, and then installed the new ones. Looks freshhhhh

Clutch shaft support thing is on back order now.... BUMMER. Will be getting the shifter this week sometime though- so I can work on that. The floor needs to be cut a tid bit (the t5 doesn't line up with the previous hole for the 3 speed).

Decided it would be easiest to just pull the front half of the carpet out to get at the shifter.

Still hadn't seen the floorboards at this point...moment of truth...

Not what I was expecting...

So upon further investigation, this appears to just be a improperly installed/fabricated transmission crossmember. No cuts required hopefully, just need to relocate mounting holes in the cross member.

Anyways, got some cool stuff in the mail today.

Support shaft, shift boot, and firewall gasket are still on back order... :/

Self welded... don't hate

Have all the parts and tools to finish up this little project... should probably be done today. Who knows.

That can be fixed... but really it's not essential to make it perfect... I'm still wantin to see the finished product on that shifter.
