The turbo model is superior in every way.  They refined the whole car, not just the engine.

Then again it's much easier and cheaper to jack up the LSJ as opposed to the LNF. For the price difference of a supercharged one and a turbo one, you could do simple mods to get the LSJ faster than the LNF Cobalt.

And the interior on them is personal preference really. the 08+ had more comfortable seats but it depends on if you want a more racing seat feel to get the older ones.

And if he plans on doing any work performance-wise I'd be shifty with the F35, it has a hard time holding more than 275-300hp.

He didn't say he intended to mod it and I hope he doesn't. In that case Turbo>

My best friend bought a SS S/C cobalt when they first came out, it's a fun car, he did some kind of stage 5 kit or something to it and it put 310 hp to the wheels, it was quick but went through a TON of fuel for a cobalt.

Then he couldn't make the payments and got it repo'd, long story short, buy the turbo, but the s/c is still cool if you can find one cheap cheap.
