Well, when your car is sitting at idle, turn the wheels. You will hear the car's RPM drop slightly then go back up to idle once you stop moving the wheel.

i've never seen a car NOT do it. Not every car will dim its lights, my v6 dakota does but not my v8.

My rpm's dont drop, they are already at ~750 at idle, the only time my rpms drop sitting is if I press all 4 window down or up buttons simultaneously

At idle and not moving???

Would be the power steering pump sucking juice from the alt.

edit before someone takes this wrong:

Through the belt lol, not a electric feed...

This is ur problem, but theoretically u shouldn't have this problem if the battery was holding charge, its not like if the alternator its cut off for half a second your electric components will drain the battery completely in that half second. I would check the battery first, its probably not holding charge anymore. Go to Autozone they can check if the battery its holding good charge or not for free, if u don't know how to do it.

Basically, when i turn the wheel slightly, the lights in the cabin and headlights dim just a little bit, but its noticeable..

j/w if anyone would know why this would happen, i have a few assumptions but would rather not say to get a group think/bandwagon effect

thanks!

its probably because you're old
