if i buy it brand new and take it on for regular scheduled maintenance do you think it'd last me into the 100k-200k km range without becoming prohibitively expensive to repair?

Lexus is the “mildest” for cost to own over the years. Audi is inherently the worst. As FMX says, I’d buy the Audi and the second it is out of factory warranty, sell it.

I’d go with the Lexus. The BMW is a hunk-o-shit, and the Audi cost too much for owning it.

My father in law drove the lx570, and every time I drove it.. It put a smile on my face.

My x3 has close to 300k km and all ive done is oil change every 25k, fluid change at 160k(coolant and brake fluid) and 4 wheel brakes at 190k

Like BMW hasn't had their share of issues in the last 10 years...

Some things are driver and maintenance dependant and some are not.

so much hate on these forums against BMW for no reason and 90% of the things anyone here says about BMW is a complete myth

I've owned 3 BMWs now and not 1 ever had a single problem that I didn't ask for

yall look dumb as hell hating on one of the best car manufacturers without any logic or reasoning behind it

Go look at the JD power reliability ratings and get back to me.

They cost double what the average cost is in repairs/maintenance, they frequent a shop more often than the average car, a large chunk of the repairs done to a BMW is a major repair.

How's that for logic and reasoning?
