Anyone have any input on buying a truck that has been extremely well taken care of, also with great cosmetic condition?

Should I be afraid of the 200,000 miles with that new of a truck? Its all highway miles.

I mean even the underside of the truck looks like they may have not even driven it in the rain.

Does anyone know of those motors/tran going out like clockwork around there? OR anything? It's got the automatic in it

edit: I am considering purchasing it

I am thinking I can get it for around 12... it just seems like modern trucks cost so much nowadays

Why?
Could drop a junkyard 5.3 in there in a weekend, worse case scenario.

If the truck's clean enough, and the price is right.
Do it.

12 seems like.... Alot.. lol

I was see if he can do like 8-9.

It's an f250 gasser we know that, but the bed, cab, and wether it's Super Duty or not can change if it's worth 8 or 12+

3/4 ton, fully loaded interior, fiberglass bed shell, standard bed, quality tint.. couple things I'd want to fix like headlights but thats simple stuff

edit: I use my dad's 01 ram long bed diesel 2500 for work, not gonna work out of this truck, so don't need 8 ft bed

also live in expensive california, seems like everything is expensive here

yeah 12k is absurd. pass.

why are you even looking at trucks if you have no real use for it? for 12k you can get a like new econobox nissan or yota and save shit tons of gas and headaches

well this would be a good fit if the guy dropped it a couple grand and it's taken very good care of.

tbh i wouldn't worry too much about the miles unless the rest of the truck looks like it was taken poor care of.

Yeah, high mileage + clean says alot.

It's when it's super low miles that you have to worry about it having sat too long or beat on really hard during the short time on the road it had.
