Who has Amazon Prime and is watching the new series?

I "borrowed" my friend's login to watch it. I've seen the first 2 so far.

thoughts? is it top gear with a name change?

It's a little clunky but the chemistry between the guys is great. Mike skinner is the new stig. And he talks. It's set up more like the top gear season finale episodes

im tired of the scripted shit, the guys "coming to the show and getting killed" bit is fucking stupid


the army training bit, fucking stupid. i just dont need that fluff and filler, and thats the kind of stuff thats going to keep me from watching the show

I think it starts to really fall into its own in episodes 3 and 4. I thought the first two fell a bit short, but understandably so....they're working out the kinks.

The cast is having to teach the production crew which is rather backwards.

It's better imo. The cinematography being 4k is amazing. You can tell a much larger budget went into the new show.



I don't think so, really. I saw an interview where it's pretty much all of the same people who used to work on top gear. Same production, same camera men, etc....




I think it's them making fun of Top Gear. Theirs so many things they can not do because of copyrights. Maybe interviewing famous people somehow falls into an issue with rights.....who knows.

I've watched a few interviews lately, either this one or another where Jeremy mentioned practically the entire crew left top gear and joined them on grand tour.

The whole part about killing celebs is quite interesting... I honestly skipped past 99% of those when they had topgear.

I think it's quite refreshing to see a new take on it. You can tell that even between the crew they still capture who they are and who we know them for.

Of the 5 so far, 3 have been fantastic including this one tonight.
