Been using caranuba. I feel like it works well but I've noticed if I let it sit too long it scratches the clear coat when removed.

Tried paste wax but it doesn't seem to adhere well. I think instructions says to do 2 passes but no one got time for that.

I think you need to go do some reading. Carnauba is natural wax feed stock. If it isn't carnauba, it's synthetic.

I use silica carbide coatings, acrylic sealants, and super high quality wax. Each has it's merits and place in the detailing game. My Carnauba wax of choice is Pinnacle Souveran paste. It runs about $100/jar which is reasonable enough to use 8-10 times a year on a vehicle. My DD is sealed and my truck is coated as they see much more use and abuse.

Nothing wrong with that.

It just won't last long. The Pinnacle crystal mist detailing spray I use on the corvette has carnauba in it that bonds with the Souveran. It boosts shine and makes it last a few weeks longer.

I see.

Car is relatively new. I've only done claybar/wax, never messed with any sealants or Polish. Depending on the sealants, it's something you want to do every few years right?
