Whats up car forum, haven't posted in here in a while. We just had our first kid and I've decided to get rid of my vette (mainly due to the fact that I'm hardly ever going to drive it and its just going to sit in my garage and depreciate more and more each day). I been jumping all around trying to figure out what type of car I wanted next. Seen alot of cars so far and today I drove an 2012 A4, and checked out a 2013 S4 that they wouldnt pull off the showroom floor until I was "more serious". (Its my own fault though, I usually take the vette to car dealerships and they pretty much let me do whatever I want when they see it, but this time we were in my wifes jeep). Dude at the lexus dealership was awesome though, he let me take out a '14 IS350 F sport that was sweet. Was definitely the most comfortable car, had all sorts of cool tech stuff, and I liked the ride alot. It didn't feel as powerful as I thought it would, but was still performed nice enough. Anyone ever owned one? Most of the cars I've owned have been RWD, V8, 2 doors, so my knowledge is limited to what I read online

TL;DR
Is a lexus IS350 F sport worth buying or is one of its competitors better?
Looking to spend as close to $30k as possible, $35k is absolute max

You should have your ride and her ride. Her ride should be the "family" car/van/suv. If you can afford it, you should have a "his" "hers" and "us"

Example: My ride is a Corvette, I use it for work, joy riding, and to take her out on nice dates, etc... Her ride is a Mercedes, she uses it for work, but it should also double as a vehicle that can hold a kid/car seat etc

I have a work van that my company pays for that I take home. Wife has a SUV, but I need something with a backseat for when I am alone with him. I have no desire to have 3 different vehicles + hers.

Not really the point of this thread though, as my vette is sold. My sister is buying it from me as soon as I find another car. Main point was to compare the IS350 f sport to other cars in its class.

Yes, Had one -- Wife stole it. Bought another and it went a little to far, now that's the weekend truck so I bought a third and the wife stole that so now I'm back to driving the first one.
I have 7 diesels all together now. 3 for personal and 4 under the business. 1 reg cab 3500, 2 quad cab 2500's and a crew cab 3500
