Does anyone here know if a 1998 ford explorer motor will fit in a 2003 mercury mountianeer? The mountaineer has a 4.0 SOHC and so does the explorer. I tried looking it up online and couldn't really find anything.

Maybe some of you guys know where to look and could help. Thanks.

That's pretty much the question. I have no idea if it was changed or not. I'll try to keep looking but if someone knows please post.

My dad told me they started making them in 97 but wasn't sure if they changed again after.

I already told you they are the same 97+
Why don't you call a Ford dealer instead of asking a gaming forum?

No you said you were pretty sure. And this subforum is for asking questions about anything car related.
