I found a very nice 2007 Mustang GT for $7,000 (might have some wiggle room) . It has about 100k on it and a rebuilt title (cosmetic damage to front end) . All work for the repairs were done professionally and body is in excellent condition. Also has minor mods like custom headers, exhaust, CAI etc etc.

What are your guys thoughts on this? Good price? Any common issues I should be aware of with the s197 stangs?

My first thought (and not even to do with the make and model) is that this car was owned by a kid and beat to fuck.

That's my first impression.

My second thought is that cars usually don't get a salvaged title from cosmetic damage.

All that aside, it's not a bad price.

I don't know anything about the previous owner. Interior and engine is pretty dressed up. Besides it being a salvaged title everything is very clean.

I meant to view the pictures of what the car looked like before it was fixed. From what I'm told it was the front bumper and passenger door that was damaged.

Run away. There is nothing good about that car unless you love the styling. Slow, complex, expensive to mod, low high $/hp ratio for gains, etc.

They are good cars, but for that price for a salvaged id pass on it.
At the same time, Im ready to sell mine and get something else. They arent bad by any means, but they arent that special either.

I'm not looking to do a whole lot to the car mod wise. I've just always been a fan of their body styles. Looking at other used mustangs in my area this seems like a good deal.

Just wanted to see if anyone here had personal experience with this style and their input on it. Thanks guys!

If its not a 5.0 just keep looking

You don't want one of those 4.7 286 block bullshits

Who the fuck makes a motor 286 cubic inches or whatever the fucksstupid ass non american number it is

I'd rather have my old 305 that sucked air into the heads thru a straw
