Going on my daily commute to school and work is always filled with bumper to bumper traffic.
I live in Texas and it's illegal to filter, but I honestly don't give a shit.
Not gonna be a racer or a douche like the other guys, just using it as a daily commute, and maybe weekend twisties fun.

First bike I want is a Yamaha R6, I've had a bit of riding experience, but not enough to feel comfortable weaving at high speeds (If I ever even go fast enough to do that)

Opinions on R6 being first bike with minimal experience?

Lol like 600s are the end all bike..

600 is the perfect start size.. It's fast enough that you won't get bored, but not fast enough to be "dangerous"..

My old bike, you had to trick the throttle to get it to stand. On the other hand, the cbr1000 I used to ride you could accidentally pop the front tire up in a low gear no problem.

@ OP, what's really important is the comfort of the ride, and the ease of the ride.. And remember that if they really want to sell the bike, anything can be adjusted.. Ride height with the seat, soft/stiffness of the forks, anything.

You need to back up and regroup if you are talking about weaving in and out of traffic like a character in biker boyz on your first bike.

This 9999% I have been riding for over 20 years and have seen many people get mangled or worse doing stupid shit on bikes, and even people not being idiots get hurt because the people in cars are dumb. you have to be careful riding a bike in traffic especially.

I pretty much always ride handlebar to handlebar. I know as a LE myself that i never pull anyone over for it unless they appear to be unsafe. I don't think many LEs care as long as you are safe. I know when we do some of our large charity rides its pretty much madatory to lane share. 100+ bikes riding stagger is ridiculously long. We use blockers on our big rides for lights and shit, i cant imagine how long we would be blocking if we rode stagger.

What he is referring to is the act of splitting 2 lanes with vehicles in them. Riding down the dotted line.
