Just picked up my very first Toyota Hilux. 86, one owner, 220k kms, 22re/5 speed/4x4.

Things to do
Timing chain set (has a little bit of a rattle to it)
Wheel Alignment and some tires (thinking 31 or 32inch duratracs)
Light metal framed wood flatbed
Big steel bumper for the front (grabbing myself)

Great pick up. The engine is very young if that is indeed Kilometers.

sweet. Always loved the old Toyota trucks. I'd like a 79-83 4x4 myself.

It is indeed kms and yes it should great. Thing practically walks up 45* dirt hills lol

Betting its the guide-

Got my flatbed well on its way. Will take some progress pictures tomorrow. And it's definitely the timing chain.

Here's the next step of my flatbed



I used the original twilights by cutting out the pockets that they sat in of the box

Next thing is to paint the 2x8s in Bedliner as they are already printed and bolt them down, and paint the bumper

After that a headache rack and box sides/I'm going to try and incorporate the original tailgate in.

those tail lights look super ghetto man

just buy some cheap led trailer lights and wire those in

also, that bumper looks silly that low
