Just picked on up with 70k miles on it. 5spd off of a dealer. Well maintained. Hopefully a good investment with a lot of possibilities for aftermarket fun?

My prayers go out for you.

watch out for:

Check Engine Light Due to Vacuum Leaks, Oxygen Sensor, or Catalytic Converter Fault

Digital Display on Instrument Cluster May Fail

Check Engine Light Due to Faulty Torque Converter

Engine Misfire Due to Failed Ignition Coil, Spark Plug, or Ignition Wire

ABS Light Due to Control Module Failure

Flasher Relay Failure Can Cause Erratic Turn Signal Operation

Fluid Leak From Transmission Output Shaft Seal

Engine Oil Leaks

Multi-Link Suspension Components May Wear Prematurely

Inspect CV Boots and Joints at Each Service

Various Problems Caused by Clogged Plenum Tray Drain

Inspection of Water Pump and Timing Belt

Use correct oil/filter to prevent sludge accumulation

Water From Clogged Sun Roof Drains May Damage Control Modules

Watch out for those minor common issues with the 1999 A4!

You guys are mean.... haha

Those cars are tanks. My friend ran his 2002 to the ground to 220k miles. He barely did any service on it, ever. I couldn't believe it every time it cranked over.
